Complete facelift and bringing up to code of 184 Murray, which is an older, yet solid, building structured with concrete blocks. Our client wanted to fully update all the units. In particular, he wanted to add AC and dishwashers to each unit. We also needed to add a laundry room on-site, so that the units could be used as a short-term rental project if need be.  

Solution

Our team worked diligently to accommodate all of the new wiring and plumbing through the block walls and mesh plaster mixed ceilings. This involved adhering to fire code regulations, by creating a seamless fire-rated surface bringing each unit up to code. 

We brought the hydro service from 200amp to 400amp, complete with 5 new hydro meters to accommodate the new ACs and dishwashers. We added the laundry room to the top floor of the building, giving it access to all units. The work that we did to the building was extensive, and our client was extremely pleased with the result.
